Calvin Massingale

Calvin Massingale, 74 of Wallins, passed away on December 8, 2023. He was born to the late Lee and Mary Sturgill Massingale on June 28,1949 in Harlan. Calvin loved the outdoors and was a collector of many things. He loved to tell his family “Only an Indian could do those things” when he would do something remarkable.

He is preceded in death by his Parents; A Son, James Massingale; and his Brothers, Henry Massingale, Esaw Massingale, Jerry Mink and Jack Mink.

Mr. Massingale is survived by his Loving Wife, Betty Massingale; Children, Nathan Massingale of Wallins, Amy Massingale of Corbin, Susanna Williams of Cumberland and Hannah Massingale of Wallins; Grandchildren, Jacob Hendrix of Tallahassee, FL, Joshua Hendrix of Corbin, Sarah Massingale of Wallins, Caleb Williams and Adam Williams both of Corbin; Brothers, Charles Massingale of Loyall, Tom Massingale of Tompkinsville, Joe Massingale of London, George Massingale of Tazewell, TN and Jim Massingale of Massachusetts; Sister, Martha Hendricks; Several Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, Family and Friends will also mourn his passing.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 from 12PM to 2PM in the Chapel of Mount Pleasant Funeral Home then beginning at 2PM a Celebration of Life with Ronnie Dale Shackleford officiating.
