Bobby Roy

Bobby Roy, 87 of Baxter, went to his Heavenly home, March 7, 2019 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born October 9, 1931 to the late Joe and Mae Roy.
He is preceded in death by his parents Joe and Mae Roy, his sister Mary Sue Stepp and her son Charles (Chuck) Stepp and his grandson, Bradley Joseph Grant.
He was a retired school teacher where he had taught at Blackstar, Hall and Cawood High School. He enjoyed fishing, woodwork, and attending church at Coldiron Mt. Assembly where he loved singing for his Savior.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Shelby Jean Saylor Roy, daughters Yolanda Gail Osborne (Ronnie), Sheila Grant (Gary) and son Bobby Roy (Teresa). Grandchildren: Gary Dewayne Grant (Randi Lee), Amy Osborne Wardana (Paddy), Lori Osborne Shope (Frank), LeAnn Roy Chasteen (Chad) and Brent Roy. Great grandchildren: Natilee Grant, Micah and Judah Shope, Amelia and Abigail Chasteen, and Bradley Joseph Grant II, a great grand daughter Tia Wardana, Also his church family and special friends Donnie Fisher and Reverend Joshua Hensley.
Funeral Services will be held on Sunday March 10, 2019 at 7 pm in the chapel of Mount Pleasant Funeral Home with Reverend Jack Carmical and Reverend Joshua Hensley officiating. Visitation will be from 4-7 PM also in the chapel of Mount Pleasant Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held on Monday March 11, 2019 at 1 Pm at Green Hills Memorial Garden in Middlesboro, KY with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
