Betty Monkfield

Mrs. Betty Monkfield, age 84, of Loyall, KY went to her Heavenly home on Thursday, April 6, 2023, at her residence. Born on July 11, 1938, to the late James and Anna Hunter, Betty loved flowers and gardening and retired from the Harlan County Senior Citizens Center at 65.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Monkfield; daughter, Anna Lucas; and brothers, John Henry and Samuel Henry; special grandson, Alexander "Pee Wee" Rob

Left to cherish her memory is her daughters, Judy Robinson, Tonya Hensley and Husband Michael and Teresa Bezell; Sons, Claude Monkfield JR and Joe Robinson and Wife Pam; Sisters, Barbara Hunter and Georgeanna Henry; Grandchildren, Richard Robinson and wife Laura, Ebony Hamrick and husband Blanton, Tommy Beasly and wife Ashley, Tamecca Beasley, Mikey Hensley and Wife Heather, Sierra Hensley, Shonda Howard and Husband Lawson, Brett Robinson and Trey Beasley; A host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family, and friends also survive.

Visitation for Mrs. Monkfield will be held on Saturday, April 15, 2023, from 11 AM until 1 PM in the chapel of Mount Pleasant Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 PM with Jake Ravizee officiating.
