Betty Sue Farmer Scott, 75 of Hickory, NC, passed away Sunday, July 24,2016 at Frye Regional Medical Center.
Born October 17, 1940 in Harlan Co., KY, she was the daughter of the late Robert Farmer and Mary Catherine Gambrel Farmer. Mrs. Scott was a member of the Church of God and was employed by Shuford Mills.
Mrs. Scott is survived by her husband, Peter Scott Sr. of Hickory; Daughter, Bobbie Jean (Thomas) Landrum of Morganton; Two sons, Peter (Tina) Scott Jr. and Josephus Scott, both of Hickory; Brother, Britton Farmer of Kentucky; Sister, Vina Duncan of Kentucky; Grandchildren, Tommy Landrum, Matthew Scott, Casey Scott, Sarah Scott and Jessica Jenkins; Three Great-Grandchildren.
Visitation will be July 30, 2016 from 12PM – 2PM in the Chapel of Mount Pleasant Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at Park Howard Cemetery in Wallins, KY.
