Ballard Honeycutt, 96, of Wallins passed away Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at the Eastern Kentucky Veterans Center in Hazard. He was born to the late Issac Honeycutt and Emma Wilson Honeycutt Doan on November 17, 1922. He was a WWII Veteran. He retired from the Wallins School System in maintenance. He was a member of Wallins United Methodist Church.
Mr. Honeycutt is preceded in death by his Parents; Stepfather, Walter Doan; Wife, Olean Honeycutt; Brothers, Benjamin and Wife Ella Honeycutt, Clayton Honeycutt and Doyle Honeycutt; Sisters, Dorothy and Husband Robert “Bob” Haywood, Lillian Trammell and Edith and Husband Chester Clem.
Ballard is survived by his Sister in Law, Ruth Honeycutt, Brother in Law, Howard Trammell; A host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Visitation will be Saturday, September 21, 2019 from 2PM to 4PM in the Chapel of Mount Pleasant Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 4PM with Jimmy Clem officiating also in the Vhapel . Burial will follow at Park Howard Cemetery with Family and Friends serving as pallbearers. Military Honors will be provided by Harlan Honor Guard.
