Anges Turner Sparks, age 73, of Danville, KY, passed away April 15, 2016 at Harlan ARH. She was born in Big Laurel, KY on March 3, 1943.
Anges lived life to the fullest, holding friends and family close at all times. She approached everything with a "How can I help?" mentality and carried it out with a smile on her face. This spirit and tenacity served her patients well for 45 years at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington, KY. Spending most of her career at Central Baptist in home healthcare, she considered her patients as part of her extended family. Her caring nature went beyond her professional life. She and her husband volunteered many times with the Shriners to transport children to the Shriners Hospital. Celebrate with us, the life of a woman that knew how to celebrate life herself, by giving to others.
She is preceded in death by her father (Howard Turner), mother (Ila Boggs Turner) and husband (Lonnie Roy Sparks). She is survived by: sister (Sandra Turner Hansel, Big Laurel KY), nephews (Robin Howard Hansel and Robert Taylor Hansel II), great niece and nephews (Sharon Michelle Hansel, Jonathan Michael Hansel, and Russell Wright), great great nephew (Waylon Gregory Wright) and aunt (Myrtle Turner).
