Mr. Alvin Powell
January 12, 1945 — March 7, 2017
Alvin Powell, age 72 of Harlan, KY went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at the Harlan Health and Rehabilitation. He was born January 12, 195 to the late Virgil and Cuma Powell.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Barbara Powell; Sister and Brother in law, Shirley and Elbert Barrett; Brother in laws, Joe Myers and Don Andrews.
Mr. Powell leaves to mourn his passing, four sisters, Eva and Husband Charles Turner f Jonesville, VA, Carnetta and Husband Tom of Upper Sanddusky, OH, Joyce Andrews of Oxford, OH and Ivory Myers of Harlan; Special Niece Monica Howard of Baxter, as well as several nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Visitation will be Friday, March 10, 2017 from 5PM to 8PM in the Chapel of Mount Pleasant Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 8PM with Charles Sargent and Rev. Joe Howard Officiating. Burial will be Saturday, March 11, 2017 at Lee Memorial Gardens at 11AM. If you wish to join the family in procession, please meet at the Funeral Home at 10AM Saturday Morning.
